The Event

Terri Michael – Stoned Originals is returning for a fourth year to host this exclusive jewelry and accessories sale and fundraiser for the Redwood - a safe haven for women and children fleeing from abuse. As an added bonus, the show has expanded to include more vendors and for the first time this year, the event is open to the public. 'Celebrate the Power of Women' is an evening of support, schmoozing and shopping for jewelry and accessories. Once again, this event will be hosted by media personality and jewelry designer Terri Michael.

Bring your girlfriends and join us at this ladies-only event. This year’s event takes place at Empire Restaurant and Lounge (50 Cumberland St., Yorkville) on October 6^th, 2009, 5pm to 9pm.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door so purchase your tickets early!  Your ticket entitles you to a gift bag (available on a first come first serve basis that night).

The Redwood

“The Redwood is a haven. We're here to help women and children just like you live free from domestic abuse. Free from fear. Free from threat.”

80% of the women who leave the Redwood do not return to their abusive partners. The Redwood provides the support and services to help these women get their lives on track, but they cannot do it alone. That is why it is so important to have events like 'Celebrate the Power of Women' which donates funds to this organization. Each vendor donates a portion of their sales from the evening to the Redwood. Together we are making a difference and giving hope to women and children in desperate need of help and refuge.
